(Arcminute Cosmology Bolometer Array Receiver) ACBAR is currently
imaging the CMB at multiple frequencies with 4' resolution from the
Viper telescope at the South Pole.
|
|
The BIMA and OVRO arrays have been outfitted with cm wavelength
receivers to image over 40 clusters
of galaxies through observations of the SZ effect. These observations
have been used to estimate the Hubble constant and baryon density.
|
|
Observations with the BIMA array have led to a significant detection
of arcminute scale Cosmic Microwave Background anisotropy. The most
likely candidate for this signal of excess power is thought to be the
SZ effect.
|
|
The APEX-SZ receiver, currently being commissioned
at UCB, is a 320-pixel TES bolometer array
that will be deployed at the
APEX
telescope near San Pedro de Atacama in Chile.
|
|
The South Pole Telescope receiver is currently under
construction at UCB. The 1000-pixel TES bolometer
array receiver, when complete, will be deployed at
the south pole to perform a wide, deep cluster survey
using the SZ effect.

|
(Background Imaging of Cosmological Extragalactic Polarization)
BICEP will map degree-scale CMB polarization from the South Pole.
